Happy Note
Soon the days will grow colder, the mornings will become darker & the air will have an autumnal chill-- so, as a little keepsake of summer, will look no further then these 'happy notes'. . .
Happy long weekend,

Good bye summer... Hello March
With the end of February comes the end of a long hot summer... Already the days are growing shorter, the nights becoming cooler & although the sweet smell of summer still lingers on the air-- we know it won't be long before the winter knits must be brought out of storage & nights can be spent wrapped in cashmere blankets on cozy fur rugs. . .
Already feel some what sad at the passing of my very favourite season-- but a small part of me is ready {& very excited} for a cool change. . .
Hoping your March is off to a wonderful start!

The sea breeze is in the air. . .

The days are longer, the sun is warmer, the sea breeze is in the air. . . Heading into my most very favourite time of the year-- Spring is quite lovely with afternoon tea's & new flowers & pulling sparkly sandals out of storage... But nothing can compare to the fresh, salty, straw-hat-wearing, ice-cream-eating, bikini-donning season that is summer. . .
Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And Summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And oft' is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd:
But thy eternal Summer shall not fade Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest; N
or shall Death brag thou wanderest in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
Sonnet 18, William Shakespeare
